Lion goes back to school with Marist student

Notre Dame Marist Academy second-grader Sydney Newby won a visit to her school by Detroit Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky.
Orlovsky picked up Newby in a limosine and took her to the Waterford school, Nov. 11. He is among 34 players participating in ‘NFL Take a Player to School,? presented by JCPenney Afterschool. Students work with the players to plan an NFL Ultimate P.E. Class.
The NFL and JCPenney also make a donation to each school for programs encouraging development of healthy lifestyles, social skills, and academic performance. Each school will also receive an equipment donation from Wilson, the official football of the NFL.
