With a pile of corn some 75 dozen ears high, the Lake Orion Lions Club treated market-goers to a special treat last week.
‘The Farmers Market is a great community event and we were so happy they asked us to be part of it again this year,? said Lions Club member Jim Leach Jr., noting they roasted 70 ears at the market and took leftovers to another community the following day. ‘All the donations we received at both events will go towards our Christmas Basket Program for the less fortunate families and seniors in Lake Orion.
VanHoutte Farms, a staple at the Lake Orion Farmers? Market, donated all 75 dozen ears to the cause.
