Junior Girl Scouts from Troop 1892 busily assembled bags of candy at their recent troop meeting.
The bags of candy were distributed to the Lake Orion/Oxford FISH food pantry for further dissemination to the public.
The candy had been left over from Halloween and was donated from children at St. Joseph’s Catholic School.
After the members of Troop 1892 sorted the donated candy, it was repackaged into about 300 sandwich-sized ziplock bags.
This is the second year the Junior Girl Scouts assembled the candy bags for the FISH Food Pantry.
The girls? effort qualified as a community service project for members of Troop 1892.
