LOBS Lions enter key week of league action

The Lions hosted the Faith Christian School Patriots of Clinton Township on Tuesday in a rescheduled game that was moved to Lake Orion Baptist School.?
The Lions deployed a man-to-man defense in the second quarter, which turned a 13-all tie into a 33-22 halftime edge. From there, they held on for a 62-46 victory.
Senior Ben Cuyler led all scorers with 20 points and senior Eric Dewar had his best game of the year, with 16 points and eight rebounds. Senior Matt Dobis had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds and Senior Zach Halleck added 10 points, seven rebounds and six steals.
The Lions traveled to Fostoria, MI on Friday to take on the Juniata Christian Eagles of Vassar.
This was the Lions? second meeting with the Eagles and they were looking forward to redemption.
The Lions started quickly, thanks to some Cuyler steals, however the Eagles turned up the press and outscored them 27-13 to end the half ahead 45-30.?
The Eagles went on for a 68-47 win.
Sophomore James Moreno led the Lions with 15 points and eight rebounds. Cuyler had 10 points and Dobis had 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Lions’are now 9-4 on the season and 4-1 in’the Fundamental Baptist Athletic Conference.
The 8-0 Eagles were led by Jonathan’Knordler with 25 points and Ethan Childs’with 16 points.
The Lions host Bethany’Christian of Troy on Friday, hoping to avenge an overtime loss’at Bethany earlier in the year.
