Stephen Auger + Associates Architects (SA+A Architects) has been selected by Crain’s Detroit and The American Society of Employers as one of Detroit’s Cool Places to Work for 2007.
More than 215 companies were nominated by their employees. The nominated companies were asked to respond to an online survey conducted by the Southfield-based American Society of Employers.
SA+A was selected based upon those employee recommendations. Employees identified the company as a ‘friendly and fun? place to work. Other benefits were the pay-for-performance plan and flextime.
‘We’ve tried to create a company that people enjoy working for, is flexible enough to help people deal with the curveballs life throws at all of us and pays just enough to barely make a living,? said Auger, the firm’s president. ‘Architects typically have a very high threshold for ‘career pain,? and this award indicates I should come down harder on people.?
