Oxford/Orion FISH is getting plenty of donations lately to help keep its pantry stocked and local needy folks fed.
Meijer recently donated $1,310 in gift cards to the local charity.
According to store manager Scott Neff, the donation was only the ‘first installment? as part of Meijer’s ‘Simply Give? program.
All customers have to do is purchase special $10 gift cards for FISH and Meijer matches the donation.
FISH President John Cass was most appreciative of Meijer’s donation. ‘Our motto says ‘we’re neighbors helping neighbors? and this is a good example of it,? he said.
FISH also received a donation of nonperishable food items from the CVS/Pharmacy in Lake Orion and a $100 donation from Cutting Edge Salon in Orion.
