Local snowmobiling couple wins mini-Polaris sled

Rochelle Stagner of Orion Township won a new Polaris snowmobile after her boyfriend doubled his chances entering her into the ?60 Sleds in 60 Days? giveaway.
To boyfriend Justin Hart’s disappointment, however, it is a youth-sized sled.
‘When I called him and told him he was really excited,? Stagner said about the free 2015 Polaris Youth 120 INDY.
Then he found out it was for children. ‘It was funny for me, not for him,? she said.
The Polaris Sled-A-Day Giveaway was established in honor of the snowmobile company’s 60th anniversary, and gave away 60 model year 2015 Polaris snowmobiles to lucky riders throughout the United States and Canada. One winner a day was picked from January 4 through March 4.
Hart, a snowmobile enthusiast, normally drives up to Grayling or the Upper Peninsula to ride.
‘He’s got to go way out into the wilderness,? Stagner said, with a few mini-adventures out on Lake Orion every once in a while.
On the contrary, a wicked snowmobile accident four years ago scared Stagner out of the sport. Nevertheless, a little snowmobile is better than nothing.
‘It’s a cool thing, we will probably save it for one of our nephews. It will get used,? Stagner said.
