LOHS hockey team breaks even

Dragons varsity hockey team won one and lost one last week.
Though the team played the first 15 minutes strong in the game against Stoney Creek Thursday, the Cougars came back for a 2-1 win.
LO’s only goal came from Adam Chappie in the first period, with assists from Alex O’Dea and Dave Johnson.
Stoney Creek scored twice in 90 seconds during the second period.
‘It wasn’t our night,? Head Coach Cherry said.
‘Our league is tough and the players are learning they must bring it every period.?
The final shots on goal were 25-20, Lake Orion.
The Dragons rallied for their game against Clarkson on Saturday. They beat the Wolves 2-0.
Danny Blascak scored in the first period for Lake Orion on a pass from Scott Fabbri.
Adam Chappie sealed the deal when he scored from his knees on an empty net in the last few minutes of play in the third.
Dragon goalie Jason Stross played flawlessly, stopping Clarkston’s 29 shots on goal. Lake Orion had 20.
‘Yes, Stross was a big factor,? Cherry said, ‘but everyone played with more intensity and took no penalties.?
