Lone Ranger scavenger hunt

Folks will be given an opportunity to test their knowledge of Lone Ranger trivia and win prizes between July 1 and Aug. 3.
Oxford businesses and residents are being invited to participate in a Lone Ranger Scavenger Hunt.
The way it works is simple. Participating businesses will have a different Lone Ranger trivia question posted on a special display in their establishments.
Beginning Monday, July 1, folks are invited to visit all the businesses and answer each question.
Answers must be written on an official answer sheet available at each business. A map of all participating businesses will be distributed with each answer sheet.
The completed answer sheets must be turned into the Oxford Village office (22 W. Burdick St.) by Saturday, Aug. 3. Forms with correct answers will be placed in drawings for various prizes.
‘There will be three drawings for the people who participate in the scavenger hunt,? said Oxford resident Catherine Willoughby, the Lone Ranger Committee member organizing this event. ‘The more questions a person answers, the more drawings they will be entered into.?
According to Willoughby, a total of 10 local businesses have agreed to participate so far, but she’s hoping many more will sign up. Some participating merchants include OC Photoworx, Ox Bar & Grill, ‘Wiches, Funky Monkey Toys and Beadifferent Boutique.
Merchants who wish to be part of the scavenger hunt can send an email to Catherine.Willoughby@oxfordschools.org.
