The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a suspect who made off with the credit card reader at the Tim Horton’s drive-thru early Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred about 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 at the restaurant on Lapeer Road. According to an OCSD report, an unknown white male was observed on the store video prying open the drive-thru windows and stealing the credit card reader.
Two employees were working in the store at the time and both said they did not hear anything. One was in the freezer working and the other was in the kitchen.
When they came to the counter to take an order, they noticed the cash register hanging half off the counter, and cords to the missing card reader hanging outside the drive-thru windows.
