In his first pitching start of the year, Oxford sophmore, Neil Maskill, helped the JV Baseball team on April 24 by throwing the rarely seen no-hitter.
Maskill pitched the no-hitter against the Brandon Blackhawks in the second game of the double header sweep, winning 9-0. He recorded 5 strike outs in the game.
‘It felt good, really good,? the player later said about throwing the no-hitter.
Maskill received the game ball and said he was going to give it to his dad. The JV teams? record is currently 6-6. Coincidently, Varsity pitcher, senior Kyle Teague, threw a no-hitter against the Black Hawks the same day.
