McKenna stays

McKenna Associates, long-time planners of the Village of Lake Orion, has been selected to continue its services. Council members on March 8 agreed to a new four year contract.
Two companies, besides McKenna, were interviewed earlier this year to provide the village with on-going planning services.
After the interview process, McKenna offered to revise its fee schedule, lowering most of its charges. The new contract has a provision allowing for annual increases in the fee schedule based on the Consumer Price Index for southeast Michigan beginning July 1, 2005.
McKenna was also awarded a contract for development of a new zoning ordinance at a cost of $26,000 to $32,000 depending on the level of services needed.
‘They’re the most qualified to work on the zoning ordinance,? village council president Bill Siver said. ‘Other planners would have to start from point one.?
