It has been a lifelong goal for Patricia Aldrich, ND, CNC to share her knowledge on how to support and heal the body by achieving balance through noninvasive therapy.
Aldrich is a Certified Nutritional Counselor with a diploma in Advanced Studies of Iridology from Dr. Bernard Jensen, a well-known author on health and healing and winner of the National Health Federation’s Pioneer Doctor of the Year Award.
The saying ‘The eyes are the window to the soul? takes a new twist at Aldrich’s ‘Me, My Health and Eyes in Lake Orion.
Aldrich understands the eyes as the window to the health of the body.
‘The information received by the brain indicating the health of all the major organs and systems of the body are reflected in the eye. Which can then be read and interpreted through the science of iridology.
‘Without any kind of body invasion, iridologist can detect, for example, genetic weaknesses shown through the weave in the iris, or specific organ inflammation by discoloration in different quadrants of the eye.?
Iridology is a science that is described in medical textbooks dating back to the early 1800s. Iridologists can ‘read? the eyes, detecting imbalance in the body, where it’s located and what stage it’s manifesting.
‘Iridology is a particularly effective method of preventive medicine,? Aldrich says, ‘By identifying strengths and weaknesses in the genetic makeup, we can guard against inherited conditions and strengthen the immune system through awareness, nutrition and supplements.?
Aldrich is also a Doctor of Naturopathy. Naturopathic Medicine is distinctively natural approach to health and healing that recognizes the integrity of the whole person.
Naturopathic Medicine emphasizes the treatment of disease (DIS-EASE) through not covering up but looking for the obsticle and removing it along with enhancement and support of the inherent healing capacity of the person.
Me. My Health and Eyes first opened in a storefront at the corner of Clarkston Road and M-24 in Lake Orion and has since moved to a new location 359 West Clarkston Road.
‘We wanted a larger building to serve the public,? Aldrich says.
Because of this move, Aldrich is now offering many more health-related services.
Those include pain free detoxing foot baths (removes heavy metals from the body), Reflexology, a variety of health massages Lymphatic, infant massages, Shiatsu message, Colonics and Skenar treatments
‘We’re growing by leaps and bounds,? Aldrich says. ‘We have people who are healthy and want to stay that way and those with major illinesses that need direction on the road to recovery.
‘I work with a lot of cancer patients, offering integrated nutritional therapies. Most Western medicine doctors tell their patients not to take antioxidants, but the supplement (Standard Process) that I’m using are food-based and are encouraged because they help make the body stronger, like food does.?
According to Aldrich, her degrees allow her to provide a higher quality of vitamins and supplements than are available at health food stores.
The insight derived through diagnosis can help her identify what supplements each individual needs, allowing her to customize each person’s health plan.
Aldrich has strong concerns about what our children are eating. With this in mind, she has started a health food co-op and is currently writing a cookbook for children.
Patricia keeps up with the latest health and nutritional information by attending at least six seminars a year.
