Michael John O’Connor, age 65, of Ortonville, previously of Berkley and Royal Oak, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 25, 2016. He was born June 22, 1950 to Muriel and the late Derral O’Connor.

Mr. O’Connor retired from the Aerospace Industry working in production control. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He was fond of sunrises and bon fires in the evening at his home on the lake with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in years past.

Mr. O’Connor is survived by his wife, Pamela, whom he married on November 24, 1979 in Berkley; son, Kevin (Sandy) O’Connor; daughters, Dr. Erin Sheppard and Heather (Scott) Fryer; grandson, Graham Fryer; mother, Muriel R. O’Connor; sisters, Sandra Cowan, Linda (Daniel) Lohmeier, and Kelli Johnston; brother, Sean (Anita) O’Connor. He is preceded in death by his father, Derral James O’Connor and his daughter, Colleen O’Connor.

A memorial visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 Twelve Mile Rd. (2 Blocks West of Woodward) Berkley. A memorial Mass will follow on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church, 2600 Harvard St. (Coolidge Rd. North of 11 Mile Rd.) Berkley.
