Brandon Twp.- It’s a tough time to be in the real estate market in Michigan.
Nonetheless, real estate brokers Rick and Terri Robinson have opened Michigan Real Estate Associates, offering new options for buyers and sellers.
‘We decided if we were going to do the real estate business, we needed to do something different, because of market conditions,? says office manager Sandy Dubre. ‘We knew we would need to cut costs.?
The business, which opened Nov. 13 on M-15 in Ortonville, eliminated processing fees that normally range between $150-$350 per transaction and will work with clients to find creative ways of purchasing, including short sales, foreclosures and renting with an option to buy.
The Robinsons also have an office in White Lake Township. Rick Robinson owns several companies, including Complete Home Inspection, Complete Building Company and The House Doctor.
Any client who lists a home with Michigan Real Estate Associates can receive a free home inspection on the home they are selling, a $250 value.
Dubre likes the new Ortonville office location because it is central to Clarkston, Brandon, and Goodrich. She notes that many people are on the edge of leaving Oakland County and going to Genesee for the price difference.
Dubre is excited to help clients realize their dream of home ownership.
‘I love working with people and helping them reach their goals,? she said. ‘It’s one of the biggest events in life and very rewarding. We’re extremely friendly and knowledgeable and we know the area. We will completely support our community and help businesses move into the area.?
