The Modetz Funeral Home on Silverbell Road in Orion Township is presenting to the public the mural recently created for the home by Rochester artist Gerry Post. Post, who has done work for the Modetz-owned funeral home in Rochester, created a mural honoring police and fire, and veterans by depicting battles going back to the Revolutionary War through 911 and the War with Iraq. Post spent over six months researching, drawing and painting the creation. All of the weaponry and uniforms depicted are authentic, and Post even included portraits of owners John and Mary Modetz? fathers.
