Icy roads and subzero cold weather caused the Oxford school district to cancel classes on Feb. 7 and 11.
So far this school year, Daniel Axford Elementary has had eight days off, Oxford Elementary has missed seven days and the district’s other five schools have each missed five days.
Each school can miss up to 30 hours (or five days) during the year without being required by the state to make up for lost time.
