Narsh asks for trespass law

Soon, you might think twice about trespassing on another’s property in the village.
Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry Narsh has requested the village council adopt a law that would outline the regulations regarding the unlawful entry of a person on the property of another person and the penalty for doing do.
Narsh said the proposed ordinance would help his officers to respond more adequately to complaints that have been received by the police department.
“It’s almost odd a community like ours doesn’t have such an ordinance like this,” he told council members on July 14. “We receive a lot of complaints about trespassing.
“This (proposed law) is a valuable tool. Local police can issue a ticket and fines.”
Council members plan on discussing the trespassing law on Aug. 11.
