oe Spreeman of Metamora joins the staff of The Clarkston News as advertising manager.
He has 30 years of newspaper experience throughout Michigan, working at daily and weekly publications.
‘Mostly community papers,? said Spreeman, 60, who has a marketing degree from Flint Community College. ‘To me, community papers give you more opportunity to get to know business people and find out what’s going on in the area.?
Settling into the Clarkston area, his early goals include getting to know everyone in town.
‘That’s why I like the Coffee Club (Thursday mornings at Clarkston United Methodist Church),? he said. ‘You can go there, meet people, and learn what they do. It’s an easy way to network.
He and his wife, Kathy, have three daughters.
‘This is closer to home ? I love it,? he said. ‘I’ve always liked the Clarkston area. It’s a really nice area to do business in, small town atmosphere, and you can drive a few miles and find all the businesses and services you want in an area.?
