The Hemingway Estates Planned Unit Development, a project that will include 31 single-family units, has been granted an extension by the Orion Township Board.
The 12-month extension to the PUD approval, which otherwise would have expired this Nov., will allow the Silverman Development Company more time to develop the site.
The developers had a longer than anticipated hold up with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, and hope market conditions will be more favorable during next year’s development season.
