The leaf pick up machine used by the Village of Lake Orion’s DPW for 17 years is worn out and needed to be replaced.
Village council members on March 22 agreed to buy a new one at a cost not to exceed $13,800.
According to LO Village Manager JoAnn Van Tassel, there are allocated monies in the Capital Improvement Fund to cover the cost.
Council members decided to purchase the vacuum leaf loader now so it will be here before spring leaf pick up begins.
