For the next three months, the Oxford Community Development Authority will be holding one of its twice monthly meetings at night.
During the months of March, April and May, the OCDA will be holding a meeting on the third Monday of the month at 6 p.m.
OCDA Chair Sue Bossardet said this is a temporary move designed to increase attendance at the meetings and encourage involvement and interest in the downtown development authority.
She said many downtown merchants and property owners voiced concerns over not being able attend the OCDA’s normal meeting times on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 a.m.
The OCDA’s Monday night meeting dates are as follows ? March 21, April 18 and May 16.
If these nighttime meetings are not well-attended by the public during this trial period, Bossardet said the board would most likely discontinue them and resume the normal meeting schedule.
