Clarkston students teachers and administrators came in to work despite a snow day last Friday to learn new ways to help their students.
The Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation presented the two-day program, Jan. 23-24. Topics included how to spot and then help kids at risk due to drug abuse, depression, violence, and other harmful behaviors.
It’s part of a continuing training focused on the whole child, said Deputy Superintendent Shawn Ryan.
‘This is one piece of a larger puzzle,? Ryan said.
