No change in peanut ban

Lake Orion School Board Vice President Bob Gritzinger told parents at the Sept. 28 school there will be no change in its current policy on banning peanut products in four elementary schools.
He said the current policy was based on research and was reviewed several years ago.
Gritzinger indicated the board would be willing to look at any new information and asked people who had any to ‘bring it forward.?
‘At this point we have to protect that individual child with any life threatening potential,? he said.
Orion Oaks is the latest elementary school to be ‘peanut free.? Other schools that have banned peanut products are Carpenter, Paint Creek and Blanche Sims.
