The Orion Township Board Staffing Committee, of Supervisor Jerry Dywasuk, Treasurer Alice Young and trustee Matt Gibb, met last week to again discuss the position of assistant to the supervisor.
The board briefly discussed the item at their July 17 meeting, debating if there should be two positions (human resources, and assistant to the supervisor) or just one to handle the workload in the supervisor’s office.
‘This item has been on our agenda every third meeting since this board was elected,? Gibb said, noting that other items that could be more beneficial to the township, such as safety paths and taxes, weren’t getting discussed as a result.
