Although Orion Township was given a three cent increase over the current water rate by the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department, residents will not see a reflection of it on their water bills.
The Orion Township Board voted March 1 to not pass the increase on to customers. The township’s rate increased to $16.34 per 1,000 cubic feet. The customer’s water rate will stay at $1.94 per 100 cubic feet.
