Beatrice M. Konen
Longtime Lake Orion resident Beatrice Konen died on June 22, 2009. She was 89 years old.
She will be greatly missed by her five children, Marilyn (Jack) Perkins, Gerrie (Paul) Harding, Thomas (Sandi) Konen, Deborah (Gary) Mulini and Charles Konen.
Beatrice was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who were never far from her mind. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn (Olden).
Beatrice moved to Lake Orion with her husband, Harold, in 1952, who passed away in 2003. They enjoyed countless hours at their home entertaining family and friends throughout the years. She wintered in Central FL for the past 26 years.
Known to many as ‘Ma? Konen, Bea enjoyed country line dancing, bowling and crocheting.
Funeral service will be June 27 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Bea will be laid to rest beside her husband of 62 years at Square Lake Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Lake Orion Chapel, Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m.
