Dear Editor,
Community, we did it! As president and volunteer coordinator of OCEF, I would like to thank the most wonderful, giving community for all your support through the holidays.
Thank you to all who said a prayer to help in our mission, thank you to the 328 volunteers who worked for Thanksgiving, Christmas and the Toy Store. Thank you to all the area businesses, schools, churches, scout troops, and individuals who supported us with prayers, the 12,000 plus items of food, toys, monetary donations, the gift of time and The Citizen for all their support.
We could not stay true to OCEF’s mission statement of ‘meeting the immediate hunger needs in and around the Ortonville Community area? without all of you.
I have said this so many times but it’s worth saying often when speaking of our community, you truly are the best!
