Karen Offer closed out her high school skiing career by finishing strongly at the state ski meet Feb. 27-28 at Boyne Mountain Ski Resort.
Offer, a senior at Oxford High School, was one of about 66 girls at the state meet, according to Ed Haley, coach of the combined Brandon-Oxford ski team.
She finished 28th in the slalom at the meet, with a combined total time of 1:51.21 for her two runs. In the giant slalom, she placed 34th, with times of 36.15 and 34.55 for her two runs in that event.
Offer, who has now competed in the state finals three times, finished 49th in the giant slalom and 29th in the slalom in last year’s meet.
