The Orion Historical Society will benefit from partial proceeds at Wildwood Farm Day, May 13 at Olde World Canterbury Village.
The event is 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and is sponsored by Canterbury and OHS.
Many volunteers are needed to help with a flea market, ticket sellers for antique appraisals and tours, and roving reporters who will interview those who have memories connected to this historic William E. Scripps estate farmstead, which is where Canterbury is located today, on Joslyn Road.
Also planned for the day are a chicken barbecue, animals, fiber arts, blacksmithing, period toy demonstration, model glider plane demonstration, a string band and other family activities.
OHS is also looking for volunteer photographers to preserve memories of the day for visitors. Volunteers dressed for the 1920s-1930s period would be a nice plus.
Contact Showey Howey at 693-6112 for more information, or to add your name to the volunteer list.
