Oxford Middle School is now listed as having made Adequate Yearly Progress for No Child Left Behind on the state’s Education Yes! report cards.
At the release of the report cards, the school had been listed as not have made AYP and receiving an overall B grade. Winning the appeal does not change the school’s overall grade, but does remove the school from the list of those requiring assistance.
“We were pleased to learn this after months of fighting through the system,” said Director of Curriculum Karen Eckert during the last regular board meeting.
