Orion Neighborhood Television is launching an area wide search for on-air talent to host shows being produced this summer. No hosting experience is necessary and anyone can audition.
Those interested in becoming on-air talent can submit a two-minute video of themselves to ONTV, or schedule a time to drop by the studio to record a demo. The audition videos should be shot on a smart phone and emailed to the studio at ontv@orionontv.org.
Ian Locke, Executive Director of ONTV said ‘We have a few exciting shows that are in pre-production right now, so my best advice to those auditioning is, just be yourself, let your personality shine through in those two minutes, and most importantly have fun!?
Two of the shows in pre-production and needing on-air hosts are The Bucket List and Lake Side Living. The Bucket List follows the host as they accomplish some of the area’s best attractions such as boating on Lake Orion, going to the shooting range at Bald Mountain and taking a hot air balloon ride over the village.
Lake Side Living is more laid back as the host explores some of the area’s most beautiful homes and cottages, and highlights all the fun activities there are to do while living on a lake.
‘The entire Lake Orion area has so many things to do, there’s no need to pay for expensive trips out of state. We have adventure right here in our backyard. There’s a reason why our motto is ‘where living is a vacation? and these exciting new shows will showcase that,? said Joe Johnson, ONTV Studio Manager.
Production Coordinator, Katie Ciaramitaro says area residence can also submit suggestions for adventures to do on The Bucket List, or they can nominate their home to be featured in an episode of Lake Side Living by emailing kciaramitaro@orionontv.org.
‘This is a great opportunity to showcase the wonderful places to live and play in our area, so if you have ideas, we’d love to hear them,? said Ciaramitaro.
