Portia Mahoney said the judges at Ortonville’s Fourth Annual Art Contest are chosen for their experience in the arts. The winners aren’t.
‘It’s a small town,? said Mahoney, owner of Ortonville’s Art of Life, 391 Mill St. ‘This isn’t so much about competition, it’s about sharing your talents.?
The contest was held on June 18 at Beets, Beats & Eats, and winners were chosen in four age categories.
First place winners were: Ages 5-8:Kyra Burger, ‘Orange Flowers?; ages 9-11: Sarah Ann Buda, ‘The Lake?; ages 12-17: Hannah Mitchell, ‘Aslan, King of Narnia?; ages 18 and over: Wanda Quigley, ‘Banty Momma.?
