Incidents taken from reports made by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department, Oxford Village Police Department and Oxford Fire Department.
Tuesday, November 1 A trailer was taken from a yard on N. Coats Road. A neighbor said they saw a white Blazer pull in at 6 a.m. and leave with the trailer attached.
Thursday, November 3 Two teenage boys reportedly lit a fire in front of a property on Brookside and jumped through the flames while on their bikes. The Oxford Fire Department responded and is expecting cost recovery from the families of the boys. No one was injured.
A mother of a 10-year-old girl on Dunlap Rd. called police after her daughter said two boys assaulted her on the way home from the bus stop. She claims they beat her with a stick and threw stones at her. The mother said this has been going on for a year and she’s had enough. The boys denied assaulting her. A juvenile petition was filed.
Friday, November 4 Reports of juveniles shooting paintballs at a home on Standford.
Two neighbors on Sanders Rd. were in a dispute over where the other would store their boat for the winter. The next two mornings, one neighbor found nails at the end of his driveway. He believes the other neighbor may be responsible
Saturday, November 5 Reports of unknown subjects smearing ketchup and toothpaste on the siding of a home on Laurel Leah.
More ketchup and toothpaste was smeared on two homes on Nuttle Branch.
A Caucasian male wearing a tan baseball cap was seen stealing a Craftsman chainsaw out of a barn on Stanton Rd. He put the chainsaw in the trunk of his red Pontiac Sunbird and took off. Witnesses were not able to get a license plate number.
Sunday, November 6 A business on X-celsior Dr. was broken into through a side window. The owner noticed the burglary when he came to work the next morning. Large amounts of expensive tools were stolen. He believes a group of teenagers who frequent the lot for recreational use may be responsible.
