Report of someone building a fort in the Oxford Township Cemetery on W. Burdick St.
A juvenile was arrested during a domestic dispute with his mother and father on Kintyre. The juvenile pushed his mother down on the floor and pushed his father against the wall. When deputies arrived and tried discussing what happened, the juvenile knocked the deputy into a dinning room cabinet. The juvenile was arrested and is now cleared for review by the Probate Court.
Thursday, April 28
Report of missing jewelry in the Lake Villa Manufactured Home Park. The homeowner’s boyfriend packed up and left. After this happened, she noticed two diamond and emerald rings and one diamond and emerald tennis bracelet were missing.
Detroit Tigers tickets and a cell phone charger and case were stolen out of a vehicle on Sanders Rd.
Reports of a home invasion and vehicle larceny were made on Clearview Dr. A husband and wife were awakened around 4 a.m. by their dog barking and the sound sound of someone entering their front door. When the couple woke up, they noticed the car in their driveway was broken into. Credit cards and money was stolen. The car in their garage was also broken into and $40 was stolen.
A tractor was stolen from the corner of Bayliss Dr. and Oakwood Rd. between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 6:50 a.m. The tractor was for sale and was attached with a chain to a pole. A link was cut in the chain to remove the tractor. There was also a lawn mower next to the tractor, but it wasn’t stolen.
Saturday, April 30
Residents on Shummard Branch reported flying rocks hitting the siding on their houses, leaving large holes. The rocks have been coming from the tree line of W. Beverly and Grampian.
Report of an attempted burglary on Maloney. The homeowner is in the process of moving into the cottage and noticed a window screen laying in the front yard. Nothing was missing.
Baseball equipment was stolen from a vehicle on Harwood Dr. The equipment was then found in a field on N. Coats Rd.
A woman reported being attacked by two dogs behind the Oxford Public Library. The woman was riding her bike on the Powell Lake Township Park trail when she had to fight off the dogs by kicking them.
Sunday, May 1
Two kids on their bikes were disrupting a church service at Oxford United Methodist Church.
A man was arrested for drunken driving on Washington and W. Burdick at 1:53 a.m. The man was pulled over for not wearing a seat belt and failing to stop at a blinking red traffic light. The man had no driver’s license and the officer noticed a strong odor of alcohol. After failing sobriety tests, the man was arrested.
