Monday, August 29 A 42-year-old man was found sitting in the backyard of a home on East St. with a large cut in his hand. He was heavily intoxicated and said he didn’t break the window on the back of the house. The homeowner refused to press charges.
The rear storm door of a home on S. Washington was broken out by a large rock.
Tuesday, August 30 A 6-year-old boy on Hosner was shot in the head above his left eye by a pellet gun. An 8-year-old neighbor was responsible. The boys parents didn’t press charges.
Wednesday, August 31
A 20-year-old man from Detroit driving a vehicle with an improperly displayed license plate on Sunset Blvd. was issued a citation.
A 21-year-old female from Metamora was arrested on Lapeer Rd. for an outstanding warrant for probation violation out of a court in Lapeer.
Thursday, September 1 A 33-year-old man from Burton and his 45-year-old female passenger were arrested on Shipinaw Rd. after police found marijuana and cocaine in the car.
Reports of credit card fraud from a resident on Scarlet Oaks Dr. A credit card was opened in her name in 2001 and she was recently billed for almost $400 she didn’t use.
A resident on Coats Rd. found dog feces and a note on her car after her dog went missing. She heard a gunshot and feared the dog might’ve been shot. Her neighbor admitted to leaving the note and the waste but said he didn’t harm the dog or know where it was at. The woman is pressing charges against him.
A digital camera was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle on Crestwood.
A 14-year-old girl on Humphrey got into a heated arguement with her mother about her being late for school. The daughter began throwing furniture around the room and locked herself into a closet. Her mother said she didn’t take her medication that day and wanted her transported to Common Ground in Pontiac for futher evaluation.
Friday, September 2 A 21-year-old Lake Orion man was cited for driving with a suspended license while on Maloney.
Reports of juveniles blocking the sidewalk on S. Washington St. and being rude to passers-by.
Kids on Crawford reportedly were seen tearing up a bike on school premises.
Saturday, September 3 Money was taken out of a woman’s wallet while she was shopping at a grocery store on N. Lapeer Rd. She only left her shopping cart for a minute to help an elderly customer and returned to find the money missing. Surveilance cameras caught nothing suspicious.
Four solar landscape lights were removed from a home on Hertford and were found broken in the street.
The lights used to light up a subdivision sign on Somerville were damaged.
Reports of an apartment being broken into on Crawford.
Sunday, September 4 A 15-year-old female from Crossroads for Youth failed to return from her weekend pass. She returned later in the evening stating that she thought she was supposed to be back at 8 p.m.
A 28-year-old man on was arrested during a welfare check at his home on W. Drahner. Police found him passed out in his vehicle and heavily intoxicated. He was arrested due to an outstanding warrant from Oakland County for breaking and entering and domestic assault.
A driver in a truck through a water bottle out his window and hit another woman’s car while she was driving on Church. No one was injured.
Monday, September 5 A red and black bicycle was stolen from a yard on Breezewood.
An ex-husband and his ex-wife got into a heated argument on Park St. when he showed up to take his son fishing. The mother agreed to let her son go fishing with his dad.
Reports of vehicles on Broadway and Glaspie moving a construction barricade and cutting through when they shouldn’t.
