The Lady Booters kept their win streak alive this past week after out-scoring Farmington 2-0 on May 7.
‘We scored quick and at the end. Two straight wins after a slow start for the season,? said Head Coach Larry Ferris, referring to the lady’s 2-0 win over Clarkston on May 3. ‘We have had close games all season and we are now starting to push through.?
The win streak; however, was muffled by a 1-1 tie against Andover on May 9. ‘It was a tight defensive game,? Ferris said.
While Freshman Katrese Moll put the Wildcats in the lead in the first half by scoring a goal on a break-away, Andover answered back in the second with a penalty shot goal outside the box.
‘It was another great game from Keeper Darien Bandel,? added Ferris. ‘She had multiple strong saves for this game.?
Monday’s game against Lahser proved to be an exciting game in the last minute as Melissa Gierak pushed thru for an unassisted goal to win the game. ‘We keep getting better and better,? Ferris said. ‘We hope to begin peaking around districts.?
The next home game will be May 20 against North Farmington, starting at 7 p.m.
