Lake Orion High School senior Dorothy Van Fossan and Lake Orion Baptist School senior David King have been honored with Congressional Medals of Merit.
Eighth District Rep. Mike Rogers presented the medals at a ceremony last Friday at the Michigan State Capital.
The graduates were nominated by their schools based on a criteria set by the Congressmen. Each student demonstrated exemplary citizenship and academic excellence throughout their high school careers.
‘It is a privilege to recognize their achievements and to honor them with the Congressional Medal of Merit,? Rogers said.
