It’s now an annual tradition. The Halloween Parade in Downtown Lake Orion has become a treat that is looked forward to by children all over the township. This year the parade is Oct. 27.
Costumed children and their parents should assemble at the Ehman Center parking lot on the corner of Lapeer and Elizabeth streets at 6 p.m.
From there, they will march down Broadway to Children’s Park. Spectator viewing will be anywhere along the parade route, but the traditional spot at the corner of Broadway and Flint is always popular.
A special costumed guest will be in the gazebo of Children’s Park handing out candy and Best Costume awards. Immediately following the awards, the trick or treating will begin at participating businesses in Downtown Lake Orion.
Questions regarding the Halloween Parade and festivities should be directed to the Downtown Lake Orion office 248-693-9742 or dtloevents@yahoo.com.
