Postal drive nets 18K lbs. of food for FISH

It is with deep gratitude that we would like to thank the residents of Oxford and Orion for their food and monitary contributions to the Letter Carriers Food Drive.
This is always the greatest food collection of the year for FISH and again you responded generously.
Nearly 18,000 pounds of food and non-perishables were collected to keep our shelves full for several months.
We would also like to thank the postal carriers and their chairpersons, Pam in Lake Orion and Lisa in Oxford, for their time and energy.
You make this wonderful community effort possible and assist O/O FISH to continue feeding the needy of our area.
A third thank you is to the volunteers who came Saturday and Sunday to pick up, haul, and sort all the food. It was a monumental effort to accomplish in just two days.
Thanks again to all of you for making the Postal Workers Food Drive 2009 a success and for helping FISH live up to our motto ‘Neighbors Helping Neighbors.?
Sincerely,
Oxford/Orion FISH
