October is National Principals Month, recognizing some of the hardest working, yet often least recognized individuals in education. Lake Orion Superintendent Marion Ginopolis said they set the academic tone for their schools, and it is a principal’s vision, dedication and determination that provides the mobilizing force for achieving student success. This month, leading educational organizations across the country honor these unsung heroes for their tireless efforts in pursuit of excellence and Lake Orion is fortunate to have the best principals in the business, she added. The district’s principals include, back row (left to right): Ken Nuss, Orion Oaks Elementary; Rob Murray, Stadium Drive Elementary; Randy Groya, Waldon Middle School; Adam Weldon, Carpenter Elementary; Dan Haas, Scripps Middle School; front row (left to right): Lauren Smith, Paint Creek Elementary; Sarah Manzo, Oakview Middle School; Jennifer Goethals, Blanche Sims Elementary; Jamie Wagner, Webber Elementary; and Drew Towlerton, Pine Tree Elementary.
