Adrian and Melissa Aninos’ son Aiden Christopher Aninos was born three days too late for a 2011 tax break.
But the Independence Township couple’s first child was born just in time to win the Clarkston News’ First Baby of 2012 Contest, winning an array of prizes from local businesses.
And that’s not all.
“He was born on my birthday ? he’s the best gift ever,” Adrian said.
Aiden was born on Jan. 3, 2012, at 10:14 p.m. at Genesys Regional, Dr. Thomas Wright attending. He was 8 pounds, 3 ounces at birth.
“It’s going great ? he’s a good baby,” Melissa said.
“He’s usually pretty mellow unless he’s hungry or wet,” Adrian said.
The family received gift cards and prizes from The Clarkston News, The Learning Experience, Mesquite Creek, Leo’s Coney Island, Oakland County Sportsman’s Club, Nuview Nutrition, Smith’s Disposal, Lil’ People’s Place, Anderson Family Financial, Pizzeria Dolce, Fountains, and Everest Academy.
“It’s very nice of the community to do that,” Melissa said. “It’s very very cool.”
“Definitely,” said Adrian.
Aiden’s grandparents are Lou Aninos and Deborah Myers, Trudy Mills, and Robert and Diane Carter.
