ATLAS TOWNSHIP

Notice to the citizens of ATLAS TOWNSHIP, Genesee County, Goodrich, Michigan.  The ATLAS TOWNSHIP BOARD will hold a TRUTH-IN-TAXATION PUBLIC HEARING on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. at the Township Hall or via zoom by telecommunication/video conference as permitted during the Covid-19 crisis.  Join at www.zoom.us/join  Meeting ID: 747 569 7662, Access Code: 007386. “The property tax millage rate to be levied will be a subject of this hearing.”

Per MCL211.24e Truth-In-Taxation/Atlas Township will levy on December 1, 2021 for the following voted millages:

Township Operating Millage = .7151 on going

Voted Fire Millage = 1.0000 expires 12/21/25

Voted Police Millage = 2.1000 expires 12/31/25

Voted Recreational

  Pathways Millage = .1209 expires 12/31/23

The information is available for review from the Clerk’s office during regular business hours:  Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The regular township board meeting will immediately follow the close of the Public Hearing.  Physically challenged persons needing assistance, or aid at the public hearing should contact the Township Clerk during regular business office hours not less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the public hearing.  Anyone unable to attend the hearing can call or send their comments to:  Atlas Township Clerk, PO Box 277, Goodrich, MI 48438; (810) 636-2548, FAX (810) 636-6244.
