‘Queen of the Blues? Alberta Adams coming to Oxford library

The Oxford Public Library will welcome Detroit’s undisputed Queen of the Blues, Alberta Adams, for a special concert on Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m.
Born July 26, 1917, Adams celebrated her 94th birthday last year.
Ms. Adams has toured with T-Bone Walker, Louis Jordan, Cleanhead Vinson, and has performed at the famous Apollo Theater with Dizzy Gillespie.
She is backed by the RJ Spangler Trio with Larry Smith on alto sax, a true jazz master.
