Reader takes Sherman to task for misrepresenting Obama

Base on his drivel about atheists, it was not a surprise that Jim Sherman, Sr. is an avid FOX News watcher. Mr. Sherman has learned very well the deceptive and misleading tactics very well.
Sherman’s statement about President Obama saying the United States is ‘no longer a Christian nation,? left out an important adjective: JUST.
In that speech, President Obama basically said that we are no longer ‘just? a Christian nation, but a nation of many other faiths as well.
Being tormented as a kid for being Catholic ? worshippers of statues and popes and fish-eaters, etc. ? I believe that it’s a statement to be respected.
Sherman’s statement about Obama’s canceling the National Day of Prayer is equally full of sinful deceptions.
The first thing that ran through my mind was what the nuns taught me ? ‘And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners….?
Nowadays because of the hate-mongering, deception, arrogance and divisiveness being spewed in the USA it’s almost impossible to discern an atheist from a Christian from a Muslim.
