American Legion Post 233 is hosting its annual Memorial Day activities on May 31.
Watch a gun salute and hear a tribute to fallen soldiers at East Lawn Cemetery, located on Orion Road at 9 a.m.
The wreath throwing ceremony into Paint Creek is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Children’s Park on South Broadway in downtown Lake Orion.
The downtown parade is expected to begin at 11 a.m. and end by 11:30. Participants begin at Blanche Sims Elementary School, go south on Florence Street to Flint Street, west on Flint Street to Lapeer Street, then north on Lapeer Street to the Ehman Center.
