The ride on M-15 through Brandon Township will be just a little longer this week. The major north-west thoroughfare will be closed 8 pm. on July 13 to 6 a.m. on July 18 just north of South Street for the Duck Creek culvert replacement.
“Even though this is going to be an inconvenience for anyone traveling on M-15 during the four days that it will be closed to through traffic, this is a project that needs to be done,” said Township Supervisor Kathy Thurman. “I think the public understands that if we want our roads in good repair, we have to abide by the detours while they are being worked on.”
The MDOT detour will direct north-bound traffic to Seymour Lake Road east to Baldwin Road, then north on Baldwin to Oakwood Road westbound. The south-bound traffic will be directed to eastbound Oakwood Road to Baldwin southbound, onto Seymour Lake Road westbound.
Construction on M-15 is handled by MDOT, and any concerns should be directed to the MDOT at 248-451-0001
