Road Runners fifth and sixth grade team played in a Magic tournament, Feb. 9 in Grand Blanc. They took first place, beating out many other teams, including Davison and Flint, for the honor. The team, made up of students from Lake Orion and Rochester, includes Jeff McCarty, Joe Slayton, Caden Priestkorn, Mark Patritto, Noah Nuss, JD Allen, Ian Simek and Kyle Livingway. They’re coached by Dave Livingway, Jeff McCarty and John McCarty. In addition to their tournament schedule, the team is currently playing Saturday mornings in the Dumars league and is undefeated.
