Robert and Maurine Green
May 28, 1949, Robert and Maurine (Fitzgerald) Green were united in marriage at St. Michael’s Catholic Chuch in Pontiac. Fr. Louis Evon presided over the ceremony with Jack Gilson serving as best man and Barbara Lange as maid of honor.
The Greens held an anniversary celebration May 30 in Michigan. Family and friends traveled from Florida, California, Nevada, Texas, Illinois and all over Michigan for the gathering. Bob and Maruine wish to thank family and friends for their support, friendship and love through 60 years.
The couple now has five children: Karen (Ken) Sutera, Kenneth, Kevin (Dee), Kris, and Kyle. Bob and Maruine also have seven grandchildren, Bryan, Sean, Heather, Courtney, Conner and Michael; and two great-grandchildren, Clifton and Kylie.
They’ve enjoyed their years together raising children and traveling all over the US and parts of Europe.
After they retired, the Greens moved to Galveston Island, TX. They survived hurricane Ike in 2008 and rebuilt their home.
