The Oxford High School Robotics RoboCats team finished their competition at Detroit’s Cass Tech High School March 13-14 with seven wins, four losses and a tie. They finished eighth out of the 40 teams competing.
The RoboCats qualified to be an alliance captain and made it to the quarterfinals but didn’t make it into the final round. The team expressed gratitude towards its sponsors for help in allowing the students the opportunity to conceptualize, design and build their robot which competed in this event.
The RoboCats? next competition will be March 27-28 at Athens High School in Troy on 4333 John R Road. The event admission is FREE and runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. ? Staff Writer Richard Zowie
